Edgetech America, Inc. is an ESRI Authorized Developer that specializes in the development and customization of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software. It has developed a variety of applications in a variety of environments ranging from a simple desktop utility to a website to a commercial, off-the-shelf ArcObjects application, the MapSpeller ArcGIS extension. Programming services are offered to to both governments and private industry.

In addition to developing the world's first GIS spell-checker, the ArcGIS MapSpeller extension, Edgetech has developed:

• The Virginia's official redistricting web site that includes interactive ArcIMS maps,
• A real-time room management system using ArcIMS and SQL Server.
• A real-time map-based traffic monitoring system for the City of Norfolk, VA,
• A customized map loader and labeler for the Irth Software,
• A GIS/Oracle interface that enables a major insurance company to assess its exposure to risk,
• EDgeMaker for ArcView using Avenue and Visual Basic,
• Several 25,000-line AML/ArcInfo applications for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the South Carolina Department of Commerce.

Edgetech continues to support legacy ESRI programming languages such as Avenue, Arc Macro Language (AML), and Visual Basic for Applications.
