Off-Site Training (Open Enrollment)

• Edgetech organizes classes at pre-determined locations and dates across Virginia.

• Edgetech provides the training room, computers and high-quality instruction.

• You register individually to such classes. Optionally, you can pay for such training using Edgetech registration credits

• Trainees have fewer office "emergencies"

• Typically more cost-effective than client-site training for individuals or very small groups

On-Site Training (Client-Site)

• Edgetech comes teach at your facility

• You save on employee travel time and expenses.

• You can either use your own equipment or Edgetech will bring its own, for a fee.

• You learn how other departments in your organization use GIS

• You benefit from the interaction with, and experience of, the instructor.

• You benefit from group rates.

• Payment can either be per class or optionally, you can apply Edgetech registration credits (not including PC rental and instructor expenses).

• Base price: $1,600/day of class; includes up to 5 trainees.
• Trainees No. 6 - 16: $250 each/day of class

Edgetech can also provide training computers at additional cost. Request a precise quote.

These rates give Edgetech the opportunity to bring trainees from third-party organizations to on-site classes should they not be full. In such cases, Edgetech will provide hardware and software for the external trainees Add $200/day, if you want to make the class exclusive to your organization.

Edgetech requires its on-site training contract to be signed prior to committing to any training dates. Requires a single payment.

Training Registration Credits
(Volume Pricing)

Edgetech training registration credits allow its customers to pre-pay training in volume in a single payment in exchange for favorable guaranteed rates and the ability to have employees take Edgetech off-site's classes at the time and location of their choice. The credits have to be used within 18 months They may also be used to organize client-site classes for groups of 5 or more (equipment and travel costs not included for on-site classes).

A course-day of credit corresponds to one person taking a class for one day.

Purchase:

• 100 course-days for $33,750 and save 25%*
• 50 course-days for $18,000 and save  20%*
• 25 course-days for $10,000 and save over 10%*

* The savings are compared to Edgetech's 2008 individual registration rates.

If you have to train 8 people for 5 days, this would be the equivalent of 40 credits. You can either purchase the 25-credit bundle ($10,000) and 15 open enrollment units ($450/day each) for a total of $16,750; or purchase the 50-credit bundle for $18,000 and use the remaining 10 credits within 18 months
