Issue 3.0.1: |
Highlighting the bottom record value in a table - This is a minor issue due to a bug in ArcMap, not MapSpeller. |
|
|
|
|
Description |
Left-clicking or right-clicking on a row from the MapSpeller Potential
Errors dialog doesn't scroll the ArcMap table to the corresponding record if the
latter is the bottom-most record in the table. This is due to a bug in ArcMap, not MapSpeller. Other operations on that record will still work
properly but users may not get the normal visual feedback from the
table. |
|
Workarounds |
- Proceed without the visual feedback from the table, or
- Start with that bottom-most record visible in table and process it
right away from the Potential dialog, or
- Sort the table differently before spell-checking.

This issue can only be resolved by Esri and is still one at ArcGIS 10
Service Pack 1. |

Issue 3.0.2: |
Unable to proof or correct shapefiles in edit mode -
Fixed at MapSpeller 3.1 |
|
|
|
|
Description |
Because of an ArcMap bug, MapSpeller 3.0 is not able to proof or correct
shapefiles that are in edit mode. |
|
Workarounds |
- Proofing the shapefile can be done when it is not in edit mode. So
errors can be detected by MapSpeller and bookmarked when the shapefile
workspace is not in edit mode. Users can then edit the table manually by
revisiting the bookmarks.
- Alternatively, the shapefile can be exported to a geodatabase
format, and proofed and corrected by MapSpeller thereafter.

This is no longer an issue with MapSpeller 3.1 as an ArcMap bug workaround
has been implemented through code by Edgetech. |

Issue 2.0.2: |
Map services
are ignored in legends - This is by design |
|
|
|
|
Description |
Legend information from ArcIMS™-, and ArcGIS®-, server layers
are not spell checked. This is due to the nature of such layers. Once published, most information in such
services can't be changed. |
|
Workaround |
Prior to publishing their map documents as services, map
publishers should spell check them with the ArcMap™ MapSpeller extension. |
