The MapSpeller 9.3.1663 CD or web download is comprised of an ArcMap toolbar and supported files such as a spell-checker engine, dictionaries (including American English system and danger dictionaries), and a locationary template. The software is licensed as a single user extension.

You must have one of the following products installed and running properly to use the MapSpeller extension: ArcView Single User (SU) or Concurrent User (CU), ArcEditor (CU or SU) or ArcInfo (CU). The extension is supported on ArcMap 9.3 and 9.2, but runs also on ArcMap 9.1.

MapSpeller is supported on the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista and Windows XP.

The MapSpeller 9.3 compressed (.zip) download installation package is about 10 Mb in size; uncompressed it's about 12 Mb. When installed, the extension takes about 4 Mb of disk space. The extension only adds a small in-memory footprint.
